Thotti kallu falls most popularly known as “TK Falls” and locally as the “Swarna Mukhi (Golden-Faced) falls”. It is a place near Kaggalipura off beat Kanakapura main road (National Highway-209) around 35 kms from Bangalore City .You will see the white waters splashing through the convex rock creating an amazing view. The place happens to be the best place when you are looking for some calm place near Bangalore and want a beautiful place full of different kind of trees. The venue is excellent for trekking or to spend an entire day away from the clatter of the city.

I visited this place along with my friend by renting a bike through the ONN bikes App on my Birthday since we have made it mandatory to go on a trip every year on that day.

BEST TIME TO VISIT
The best time to visit is post monsoon – September- as the full flow of water would add ornamental beauty to this place.
It gets very dry in summers without the waterfalls so it’s not a good time to visit this place in summers.

MODE OF TRANSPORT
Bike:- Take the Mysore Road route which enters the State Highway 209- Nice road- Art of living centre- left turn from Saaluhunase Bus Stop, Kagalpura- And you will reach a village- TK falls.
Bus:- Take a bus from Banashankari or Majestic to Nallakkana Doddy Bus Stop and then walk towards Thottikallu falls / TK falls.

After you reach the falls we need to park the bikes at the entrance and go towards the bridge where you will find Muneswar Temple, a small temple under a big tree. From there head towards a narrow road which will lead you towards the Falls. One will have to go through a small trek which is quite slippery. So if you are travelling during the monsoons be extra careful not to slip and fall down.

Muneshwara Swamy Shrine
Once you reach the top it’s a mesmerizing view where one can spend a few moments at this peaceful site.
